Continuing Education Requirements

The State of Michigan requires that doctors of chiropractic wishing to renew their licenses complete 30 hours of continuing education during the two-year licensure period. Included in this requirement is

  • one hour in ethics,

  • one hour in sexual boundaries, and

  • one hour in pain management.

All of these requirements can be fulfilled at the MAC Spring 2012 Convention & Exhibition (see notations in class descriptions). If your license expires in 2012, you must complete these requirements by November 30, 2012, prior to renewing your license.

If your license expires November 30, 2013 or beyond, you will have the additional requirement of:

  • 2 hours in the performance and ordering of testing and

  • 2 hours in physical measures

These additional requirements will also be available at all MAC Conventions.
