Membership Categories

If you are not already a member of the MAC, join TODAY! Now is the time to join our fight to end discrimination against chiropractic on all fronts, protect patient access to your services, and promote the healing power of chiropractic. To join, simply fill out the attached form and fax or send it to the MAC office.

Following is an excerpt from the MCA Bylaws, concerning membership levels and voting privileges:

Article I.                   MEMBERSHIP

Section 1.01        An Active Member

(a)     Must maintain a current license to practice Chiropractic in the State of Michigan,

(b)     Must practice Chiropractic in the State of Michigan or reside in Michigan and

(c)     Must be current on all dues and assessments.

Section 1.02        An Active Member is afforded full rights and privileges of the Organization including the right to vote and privileges of the floor during any meeting of the members.  

Section 1.03        A member must have been enrolled for ninety (90) days prior to any meeting to have a vote in any election at that meeting or privileges of the floor.

Section 1.04        The following are sub-classifications of Active Membership:

(a)     1st year in practice - Dues are complimentary, full rights and privileges apply.

(b)     2nd year in practice - Dues are assessed at one half (˝) of the full Active Member amount, full rights and privileges apply.

Section 1.05        Dues and various schedules and methods of paying dues will be set by the BOD.
